Application Developer

iomer internet solutions inc., a Microsoft Gold Partner, is looking for a highly capable Application developer to support consulting efforts and deliver on business software projects for a variety of customers. The Intermediate Developer position is a newly created opening stemming from iomer’s consistent growth. The desired candidate will be energetic, possess a strong set of skills and attributes, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide software development skills based primarily on the Microsoft platform
  • Support solution architecture at both enterprise and project levels
  • Implement assigned development initiatives
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, with emphasis on writing quality software
  • Work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams which include customer stakeholders, project managers, business analysts, designers, developers, testers and systems personnel
  • Share knowledge and provide assistance across projects as needed
  • Participate in improving internal processes and code libraries
  • Write technical materials as needed
  • Provide support in the sales process as needed
  • Provide internal vision and strategy

Required Skills and Experience

  • 4-year computer science degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of development experience
  • Demonstrated history of delivering completed projects
  • Strong English language skills (oral and written)
  • Must have deep and broad knowledge in software engineering and business domains that will apply well in a consulting environment
  • Deep knowledge and experience of all stages of SDLC
  • NET (C#), ASP.NET, OOD/OOP, Patterns, MS Application Blocks
  • ASP, HTML, Javascript/DHTML
  • C++ or VB, COM, Distributed Network Architecture (DNA), MTS/COM+
  • XML technologies
  • MS SQL Server
  • Relational data modeling and UML
  • Networks and systems; systems integration

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Proficiency in one or more of the following: MS BizTalk, MS Commerce Server, Microsoft Content Management Server 2002, Microsoft SharePoint Products and Technologies
  • Oracle (PL/SQL)
  • XML Web services, SOA
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and integration
  • Awareness of agile modeling and processes such as XP
  • Knowledge or experience with RUP
  • Good sense of usability, aesthetics and human factors
