Microsoft Sharepoint Developer

Description

The SharePoint Developer will participate in the design, development, customization and integration efforts of enterprise solutions involving Collaboration, Portals, Enterprise Search, Enterprise Content Management, Business Process and Forms, and Business Intelligence. Will utilize Microsoft SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS 2007), Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 (WSS 3.0), SharePoint Designer 2007 and various other .NET components.

Minimum Requirements

All positions require excellent verbal and written communication skills, between both the customer and all levels within the organization are required. Knowledge of sound business practices and a proven track record of exceeding customer expectations and anticipating their needs are also required. Must be motivated with a focus on team performance.
Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Business/Computer Science or related field (preferred).

  • SharePoint Developers must possess a minimum of 2-3+ years of Microsoft.NET development with a minimum of 1+ years of SharePoint development, configuration and implementation experience on enterprise initiatives.
  • Should have a solid understanding of business workflows and capabilities of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, Windows SharePoint Services 3.0, and/or SharePoint Designer 2007.
  • Knowledge in one or more areas (e.g. Collaboration, Portals, Enterprise Search, Enterprise Content Management, Business Process and Forms, and/or Business Intelligence) is required.
  • Experience with SharePoint Templates (Application Templates, Master Pages, Role-Based Templates, and the Community Kit for SharePoint) is highly preferred.
  • SharePoint knowledge should include an understanding of architectural design, hands on Web Parts development, server installation, management and troubleshooting with a focus on deploying and supporting enterprise SharePoint implementations.
  • Development experience with Microsoft.NET technologies is also required (e.g. ASP.NET 2.0/3.0, C#, XML, IIS, BizTalk Server, SQL Server, etc.).

Preferred Requirements

Knowledge of the .NET Framework and experience working in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is also highly preferred. An understanding of RUP implementation diagrams and UML is also a major plus. Prior consulting experience is also desired.
