Solution Specialist
The role of a Solution Specialist at iomer internet solutions inc is to support the delivery of our web-based collaboration solutions (Internet, Intranets, Corporate Portals, SharePoint Solutions). To be successful in this role you should have a development background and a consulting mindset. We're looking for someone who aspires to earn a trusted advisor relationship with their clients. This role will involve significant time on-site, doing face-to-face problem solving with clients.
Primary Responsibilities:
Technical Delivery Support (75%)
- Maintain alignment between customer needs and iomer technical practice capabilities
- Maintain breadth of expertise in appropriate iomer assets and solutions
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, with emphasis on business analysis and software configuration/customization
- Work effectively with multi disciplinary teams which include customer stakeholders, project managers, business analysts, developers, testers and systems personnel
- Share knowledge and provide assistance across projects as needed
- Continuously improve internal processes
- Write technical materials as needed
- Provide input to iomer’s engineering team on development and maintenance of intellectual assets
- Provide core technical leadership on strategy and execution. The Solution Specialist is expected to be an expert technical voice in customer activities.
- Ensure ability to efficiently deliver against customer requirements and timelines within contractual constraints.
- Establish the strategies, goals & objectives for the project
- Champion cross practice integration
- Implement practices and discipline to manage employee utilization
- Prioritize resource deployment
- Provide quality assurance or ‘911’ support to current projects,
- Participate in critical design reviews to support high quality delivery of existing customer engagements,
Technical Pre-Sales Support (15%)
- Support business development efforts in qualifying and prioritizing potential projects,
- Participate in large proposal efforts,
- Provide pre-qualification expertise to evaluate the customers business needs and reshape them based upon iomer differentiators,
- Help the customer establish a buying vision,
- Build relationships with Microsoft, industry groups and customers
- Deliver quality written and oral presentations,
- Develop proof of concepts to demonstrate capabilities of MS platform and our services.
- Contributes to the development of iomer intellectual property,
Technology Solutions Advisor Specialization: .NET/MOSS/SPS/CMS (10%)
- Focus on Emerging Technologies and Markets
- Partner with Microsoft to identify priority deals and increase wins,
- Facilitate sales efforts for .NET on by identifying customer business issues,
- Develop and grow iomer’s value proposition around .NET solutions,
- Write documents which create positive exposure for iomer, potentially present at industry events, Blogs, etc
- Demonstrate deep expertise in .NET development with Visual Studio, .NET Framework, SQL Server and the MOSS/SPS suite.
