Enterprise Application Integration
Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) is defined as the use of software
and computer systems architectural principles to bring together
a set of enterprise computer applications.2 Increasingly,
organizations are suffering from a concept known as “islands of
automation”; this occurs when the value of your systems is not
maximized as they are unable to communicate easily with each
other, and are not sharing information.
However, application integration is not only about sharing information
between your applications – it is also important to note that
it focuses on sharing data and processes.
